There are a number of special legal provisions designed to protect children and young people in the workplace. However, conversely, children and young people do not always enjoy the same legal rights and protections as their adult counterparts. Yet, it can be difficult to access information on the special legal position of young employees. At last, a seminar which concentrates on employment law as it applies to children and young people under 18. Topics covered include employment of schoolchildren, special provisions for under 18s and the unique positions of skillseekers and apprentices. The seminar will be of interest to CAB workers, careers advisers, solicitors, employers and those who work with or advise young people.
