Giving Evidence in the Course of Your Employment

Appearing in court as a witness is a daunting prospect for anyone. Increasingly, professionals are finding themselves cited as witnesses in the course of their employment, yet there is often little or no training or support available. This half day seminar will be invaluable to the complete beginner and the experienced witness alike.

This half day seminar aims to demystify the whole court process and will cover topics such as:

  • Precognition;

  • Citation as a witness;
  • Preparation;
  • The difference between evidence as to fact and opinion;
  • Reference to notes;
  • The different standards of proof which may be applied;
  • The sheriff’s role in proceedings;
  • How to impress the sheriff.

Cancellation policy: Full refund where cancellation is received within 2 weeks of the event; after this point 90% refund is payable; however, no refund is payable for cancellations received or intimated on the date of the event.
