4 December 2000, (full day conference) Renfield St Stephen's Church, Bath Street, Glasgow The law on homelessness continues to be misapplied for many - notwithstanding legal remedies. It is expected that the Scottish Executive will not legislate on homelessness until 2001. Two MPSs have put forward separate proposals for Member's Bills on homelessness and mortgage repossessions. How will local authorities fulfil their duties under Part II of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 following large scale stock transfers? What role will housing associations play? How can the Children (Scotland) Act be used to tackle homelessness? Thos conference will update delegates on the law, explaining how legal remedies can be accessed, and consider the future of homelessness and the law in Scotland.
